Event Description:
The focus of this Community Call will be the COAPI Toolkit of Open Access Policy Resources (https://osf.io/vhw6d/). The Toolkit includes a diverse collection of resources that COAPI members have developed in the course of their OA policy initiatives. These resources have been shared publicly to assist others in the development and implementation of institutional OA policies. In addition to introducing the Toolkit and highlighting specific resources, this Community Call will give participants an opportunity to provide feedback on the Toolkit and its ongoing development as a community resource. If you have used the Toolkit in the past, what did you find useful and what could be improved? Were there specific resources that you found helpful, or that you expected to find and didn't? How can we work together to improve the Toolkit and encourage broader use of the resources it contains?
The format of the COAPI Community Calls is modeled on SPARC's OpenCon librarian community calls, which seek to create a supportive environment where challenges can be candidly shared and everyone present is encouraged to participate in and shape the discussion.
The call is open for all to join—you do not need to be a COAPI member institution.
